Adjustable Workbench

Problems Identified:

• Fixed-height benches cannot accommodate different working heights for various tasks.
• Traditional benches are heavy and cannot be easily transported to different locations.
• Lack of ergonomic adjustment leads to operator fatigue and unsafe working postures.
• Difficult to handle large or heavy machine parts without proper support.
• Maintenance tasks often delayed because benches are not adaptable to confined spaces.

Why It Happened:

• Existing benches use pins to lock in height, but a forklift is required to raise the bench – undesirable and inefficient.
• The scissor lift version also uses pins and is tedious to operate, so the height is rarely adjusted.
• No integrated mechanism for easy lifting or lowering of the work surface.
• Heavy welded frames make relocation impractical without specialized lifting equipment.
• Limited design consideration for modern maintenance workflows requiring flexibility.
